Attorney Mark W. Regus, II
University Conduct Codes, Academic Dishonesty, Plagiarism, Title IX Investigations, and Related Due Process Litigation

As a university discipline lawyer, I represent students, student organizations, and fraternities accused of violating university conduct codes, Title IX, academic dishonesty, and plagiarism.  I have represented students throughout California and beyond, including students at UCLA, USC, UCR, UCSB, etc.

I also represent students and defend universities and colleges in civil litigation related to disciplinary due process claims by students.  To that end, I advise universities and colleges on preventative and proactive measures that they can implement to increase satisfaction with disciplinary processes and reduce costly due process civil litigation.  In particular, I strongly advocate the use of an independent attorney to perform Title IX investigations (see the "University Admin." page for additional information).

Though desperately needed, there is a significant lack of available legal resources for university administrators, as well as students, student organizations, and fraternities, related to student discipline, Title IX, academic dishonesty, plagiarism, and disciplinary due process.  In an attempt to fill this void, I have created this University Discipline Law Blog.

To that same end, I have provided information for students and student organizations concerning the benefits of retaining a university discipline lawyer to help them defend against accusations of academic dishonesty, plagiarism, Title IX violations and other university conduct code issues.  I have also identified some of the various ways that universities and colleges can benefit from the services of a knowledgeable university discipline attorney, such as retaining an independent attorney to perform Title IX investigations on behalf of the university.
